Great UnitI have had mine for over 7 years and what a difference between chain and belt! Even the battery is still good after all these years (As it was put to the test for 3 days during the ice storm when we had no/minimal power) I highly recommend this unit and hope you get the longevity we have gotten. I will be buying another when we move to our new house.

Quiet, straight forward install, no lightsDefinitely a quiet opener and the installation was straight forward. No issues with the rail installation as noted in other posts. However, needed to call Sears warranty and have one the techs come over to replace a board (under warranty). The lights wouldn't come on, only the clicking of the relay. Otherwise it works great.

Very Nice X 2I just installed 2 of these units in my garage. As mentioned in earlier posts, it's easier to slide (tap) the "U" rail into the rail section before attaching to the top of the unit. I also had a very minor problem where the instructions stated the flat side of the trolley bolt should be towards the rail but the hole it goes in to had the flat part away from the rail. Have a look before you attach the trolley bolt to the belt with the chain link. Other than that, install was straight forward and directions were well laid out. I spent 7 hours putting in both units. I'm very happy with the product so far.

Nice Unit - Some IssuesI installed this opener myself and had to replace all the existing hardware from my previous opener. The most difficult job was getting the assembled rail into the "U" bracket attached to the motor unit. The instructions say "slide the rail into the U bracket all the way to the stops". I had to brace the motor against a steel column and pound on the opposite end of the rail with a sledge hammer and a block of wood to drive the motor end of the rail into the "U" bracket all the way to the stops. If I had put the last rail section (into "U" bracket) first, even if it was tight it would have been easy. The remotes have worn out batteries which won't work with my car's Homelink, so now I have to use the "learn button on the motor to set up the Homelink. Lastly, the wall door control requires a 24 volt transformer, so I just hooked up my old door control & that works fine. Hope this is helpful.

AssemblyThey recommend putting the 5 sections of the rail together first then attaching the U bracket to the unit and "slipping" the 10' rail onto the U bracket. Only my did not slip. In fact when I pounded the other end of the 10' rail with a hammer, it did not "slip" on.
Your parts may slip together easier but a simple change in sequence will avoid a problem. When the rail is assembled, "slip" (or hammer) the U bracket into the end of the rail before you attach it to the unit.
Make sure the trolley is mounted on the rail before you put the U bracket on.

Powerfull and silent !Got this Garage door opener on sale , I was not sure at the beginning , but after installation I knew that I made a good buy.
The remote range is great, and the system is powerful and silent. I have the garage under my bedroom, so that works great for me. It comes with the smart control panel that has a light sensor which is a great option.
I got a company to install it for me, it took them about one and half hours to do the job.
