Rated 1 out of 5 by from DO NOT BUY We purchased four panels. All of them were different lengths. One panel was a foot and a half shorter than the rest of them - which were all different lengths by a couple inches. I was very disappointed because they looked like really nice drapes, good quality etc.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the drapes except for the error in lengths Absolutely love these curtains except for one minor detail, out of the 4 panels ordered, 2 panels are different lengths, instead of being 84 inches long, one is 85 1/2" then other is 86 1/4" Can't just press and hang, need to do abit of sewing to correct the length. Since I love the drapes, no point sending back since could run into the same problem.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best decision I ever made! These drapes are the best decision that I have made. I purchased these to block out the heat from my house because I have a large south facing window. They definitely do the job and compliment my home nicely

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Really pleased with the 'Energex' blackout grommet panels. These drapes in the antique blue colour look great and are very good at blocking out the daylight. They are of good quality material. The fabric is easy to work with (needed to be a bit shorter) and looks very durable.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Black Out Drapes I ordered these black out drapes for our bedroom and it said they would keep out 99% of the light and also that they would keep heat out in summer and in during the winter months. They definitely do block out the light which is of great importance to me but as far as keeping heat in or out I can not really say because given the time of year it would be impossible to know. I do however believe that given the fabric quality, etc. that they will definitely do as stated. They are lovely drapes and would recommend them to others.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Bad Quality The hem's are done poorly and the length varies by a couple of inches from panel to panel. Packaging marked incorrectly for sizing. Grommets and material are good. Not truely blackout but enough for me. Pricing in store is lower than online for the exact same item.

blackout curtains colors light vrs dark

If I purchase the lighter color gray will they block out the same amount of light as if I were to purchase the dark brown. I am looking to block out the most light possible but like the lighter shade. I will get the darker shade if they make a difference on how dark a room will get in daylight. thanks
Asked by: Patrica
Hello Patrica, The wholeHome CONTEMPORARY(TM/MC) Energex Blackout Grommet Panel will block the same amount of light even though you purchase a different color. Thank you for shopping at Sears. Have a great day!

Grommet color

What color are the grommets on the red (637) panel? I am trying to figure out what color to get for the rod - item 243 097 512 10 - would the silver or the bronze match better? Thanks
Asked by: BarbRadke
They are silver. I purchased a bronze rod and I think it looks good. But the choice is up to you

How many panels? And how wide is each panel?

Hi there, Can you please confirm if this comes with one or two panels? And, if it does come with two panels or a pair, than can you please confirm if both are 56' wide or is that together? The representatives on the phone were unable to answer my questions. Thanks
Asked by:
They come as one panel and each panel is 56" wide.

How to remove creases?

I have two pairs of these curtains. They do not hang properly because of the folds from where they were in the package. They are dry clean only - the label doesn't say anything about ironing. Is it safe to iron them? What temperature? I do not have a steaming device, only an iron.
Asked by: ShelfSeeker
I contacted Sears and (eventually) the response came to iron at a "not too hot" temperature, pretty much as lucky123 recommended. I attempted to use a steam iron on the reverse side but it wasn't really working out - there are 3 layers of fabric in the curtains, after all. So I ironed on the front but used a dish towel between the iron and the fabric. That worked fine but the whole exercise took rather a long time. And, ultimately, grommet curtains aren't my favourite, as there's always a bit of awkwardness about the way they hang at the end of the rods - but these, at least, now look w-a-a-y better than before.

Foam backing on Whole Home®/MD 'Energex' Foam-back Grommet Panel?

Hi: What is the foam backing made of - acrylic? What are the specifications of the foam backing relative to pollutants and VOC's? I am wondering about off-gassing, especially with the sun beating down on the foam. Thank you.
Asked by: Mire
Hello Mire, The Energex drape is a blackout drape, not a foamback. The back of the drape will be the same colour and material as the drape itself. Thank you for shopping Sears.
