Blocks sunlight & nice materialI have a living room facing south & needed curtains to block the sunlight. The curtains (toasted wheat color) look very good. Wanted to buy a 2nd set, to fill out the full length of my rod & they were sold out;had to put semi-sheers instead (to fill the middle area of curtain rod). It works since they are all of the same color family.

Only Room DarkeningI purchased the Earth Brown drapes and they are a nice fabric but not room blackening as stated. They darken the room but do not totally block the light.
I only say I would not recommend to a friend because they did not blacken the room. If a person was not looking for that feature then they are fine.

Love these blackout/weather, sound proof DrapesThese drapes with the back tab ( 2 12" rod pocket, 3 " heading)for pleating, foam backing when closed are terrific. Each panel is 55' wide ( I bought 2 for the window). They are not too thick or stiff as I have seen in other stores. I love how they keep out the outside street lights for sleeping at night. The color 'Earth brown' go perfectly with our blue and brown bedspread. These were in the 'Beautiful views' catalogue at a great price for the product that also cuts back on heat, cold and sound.
How wide are these it says 55' is that per panel or both panels? And does one come with both panels
Asked by: SamSam123
Yes, it is 55' per panel and each of it has 8 tabs.

curious about "Moon Rock"
There is only the 'swatch' of the colour, and no picture of the curtain, so it's hard to get a good idea.
I'm looking for a grey that's on the pink/mauve side, not yellow nor blue.
Is Moon Rock a grey or more of a beige?
Asked by: colourconfused
Moon rock is a greenish grey. The wholeHome CLASSIC(TM/MC) 'Diamond' Embossed Blackout Grommet Panel, found at the following product link, is offered in a mulberry grey colour.
The wholeHome CLASSIC(TM/MC) ''Masquerade'' Insulated Grommet Panel is offered in a dawn mauve colour.

Foam Back Curtains: stiff? too thick? hard to move?
Hi, I'd like to buy the most energy-saving lovely-looking drapes for my living room window. I need to be able to pull them almost completely out-of-the-way during days, to see the view (and stay put in about a foot of space). They can't be too stiff, and they'll daily be opened and closed.
1. Would foam-back curtains work for this situation?
2. Is there an alternative?
3. Any suggested brands or products?
Thanks a lot for any help you may provide.
Asked by: Draper
1. Foam back curtains are meant to save energy, it should work.
2 and 3. They are more stiff than some of the other energy efficient curtains here. I have similar goal as you do. I have looked at both "Energex" and "Danielle". I like both of them better than foam backed curtains. Energex has a satin sheen to it on the front, while Danielle feels more like linen. The back of both materials feels like suede. Good quality. Energex is thicker and heavier than Danielle. They say you need to order more material for the latter for proper fullness. They have different color selections, which basically dictated my choice between the two types.
These also serve as blackout curtains. They are great for bedrooms. I have tried on a red colored Danielle in my living room. It looks lovely but the living room is very dark, as expected. I want to have the option of drawing the curtain close during the day to block summer sun, without the room being too dark. Bone color seems to do the job for me. Hope that helps.

Can you iron the fabric?
Hello. I have windows with width twice as wide as that of a single panel and I would have to stitch up. With this type of material, is it alright to iron the panels? What is the best way to stitch them up? Thanks.
Asked by: Lookingforcurtain
I absolutely needed to press them when they arrived and they have a few creases to "fall"out

number of panels available for curtains
I want to buy curtains but the webpage doesn't tell me how many panels are available for the product. Can you tell me this? They are energex curtains, 54" wide by 84" long. What I need to know is do I have to select 3 or 6 items.
The Whole Home®/MD 'Energex' Blackout Back-tab Panel shown on this page is a single panel measuring 56" wide with 8 attachment tabs per panel.
Thank you for choosing Sears.
