Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very poor backing These drapes are extremely heavy and stiff. Thinking to help with that, as well as the wrinkles, I washed them as per directions on the label. Much to my dismay, pieces of the "foam" backing shred off, so there are many spots with no backing. Very obvious. The backing on these reminds me of the rubberized paint you can get for backing rugs, I sure wouldn't call it foam. I got them to block heat, as my living room window faces south, so I will keep them for now, but I would guess they wouldn't survive another wash. On the good side, the colour is excellent. #sage# which is why I gave them 1 star

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Masquerade Drapes These drapes are of very good quality and look lovely in my family room. They are certainly making a difference in terms of keeping the room warmer (my family room is in a basement setting) and keeping drafts from the windows out and because I bought two sets of 84" length pinch pleated drapes, the room also looks more like a living room. I am very happy with this product; also timely delivery and pleasant service at Sears Hillside.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very nice... Purchased for our basement S/W window - very bright sun exposure and these drapes perfectly block out the light. The pattern is subtle and overall I am pleased with my purchase. As others have commented they did arrive wrinkled which is understandable, eventually I may use the steam iron while they are hanging but I am not too concerned about it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good value - good energy saving design These were a good buy. Hard to find pleated drapes - most big box panels are grommet top styling - these are traditional and look good in formal settings. The wrinkles are a problem. We wanted to have them so we worked for over a week - every evening for 20 mins with a hand steamer - until we got the major wrinkles out. The color was exactly what we expected and the quality is good considering the deep discount price The fabric has little irregularities - dots of a thread that is not part of the neutral but it does not show unless you are on top of the fabric trying to steam out the wrinkles! I would buy these again -just be prepared to do a little work to make the look like custom quality.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not stitched properly The curtains work great at keeping light out. And they keep the cold from the back of my neck on the couch. And they're terrific for the price. However, the pleats at the top of the curtains are messed up. Most are fine, but three or four were not gathered so there's just a wide floppy bit at the top instead of a nice 3-pleat gather. As long as you don't mind either fixing it or ignoring it, they're worth what you paid for them.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Classic Pinch-pleated Masquerade Drapes This product was returned due to poor quality of foam backing on "MERLOT" coloured drapes we had ordered & received. The backing was "PINKISH" in colour with m,any spots & imperfections. We also checked out same style drapes at our local Sears Store - same results on "MERLOT" colour. Other colours of the same product had better quality foam backing with a whiter appearance and no colour spottings and imperfections.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great quality for the price I am very happy with the product quality and craftmanship. It is very difficult to find pinch pleated drapes, I was happy to find them with such a reputable company. Hooks are included, though they are the pin style. This type allows for human error in placing pins at different spots. I separately purchased 'two prong' hooks which slide onto the pleat. I would have liked to see them instore prior to puchase, unfortunately they do not offer them.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Reasonable for the Price They seem on the high end of price for the quality. They are 1" narrower than as listed. This seems to be a common problem with these curtains. Also the shipping was in a vacuum sealed plastic bag, which wrinkles the curtains beyond badly. I had to iron them for 3 hours and still didn't get all of the small wrinkles out. Sears needs to start shipping these in a box. Overall the design is quite nice. Edges aren't all quite square though, definitely were created on a rushed production line by sub par skilled workers.

How many rings required?

I would like to hang these pleated curtains on rings, but I don't know how many rings are needed for a 120" width. Has anyone else tried this? If so, how many rings did you need? (They are sold 7 per package.) Thank you.
Asked by: pwoods
Have not tried rings but 15 pleats per panel, 30 in total

whole home pinch pleated panels

How many Back-Tabs are behind each of these panels?
Asked by: Sarrah
Pinch pleated drapes do not have back-tabs built in. They hang by hooks from either rings or runners. Each panel would need hooks and runners for each pleat plus two more for each end.

Bone and Fawn colour

Is the Bone swatch an off white colour and is the fawn swatch a beige? Would it be possible to be provided snapshots of what they look like?
Asked by: BIHS
Hello BIHS, Yes, the bone colour is an off-white colour and the fawn colour is a light beige colour. No additional photographs are available to post. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you. Thanks for shopping Sears and have a great day !

backing on these curtains

i need to know do these curtains have a white backing on them and when i measure i need the 120 width but my window is only 106 inches will they be to wide for the window i don't want it to look bunched up and is the earth color dark i am looking for a dark brown thank you Therese
Asked by: Therese059
Yes the backing is white. I had a problem with the width. I needed 96" but when I got them they measured 92". When I took them back 2 ladies at the store pulled the drapes as tight as they could and measured. They got 96". Now you can figure that your drapes will be 116" when hung. Hope that helps.
