Rated 5 out of 5 by from Darkness at long last. Moving from a rural area with no ambient outside light other than what Mother Nature provides, to the city where darkness never comes was a shock. With these blackout liners we are once again able to experience real night time. Simple to install and do the job as advertised. A basic product that solves a major problem.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Satisfied I am very satisfied with the quality of this product. It keeps the sunlight and heat out as advertised. My only recommendation is to make sure you have the proper curtain rod for this panel. It works well with pleated drapes or with double curtain rods.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love My Blackout Curtains! These do exactly as promised, darken the room and the bonus is it keeps the room cooler during the those hot summer days we've had. Looking forward to seeing how well they do in the winter at keeping the room warm!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just what I was looking for These black out curtains are exactly what I was looking for and are doing an excellent job. Easy to install and lots of options for sizes.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from measurements are smaller ! I just picked up two sets of these liners, one set for my big livingroom window and one set for my bedroom. The measurements on the package were totally different than the measurements advertised on line. The actual liners are smaller in width/length. Therefore, I have to return them. I will not re-order because of the inconsistencies.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from exactly what I wanted Hotel quality, heavy & fits well with our curtain- definitely darkens the room, while keeping the heat (cold) out. While I actually have fuller curtains, the liner fits just the same since the liner is larger than the window and the excess of the curtain is to the side for fullness and you can't tell. I wanted a liner that I could use with any other curtain so that I can change them when I want and yet not have to pay for lined curtains each time (as they are more expensive lined)- I won't hesitate so much now when I want to change the colour or style of my curtains/room.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Blackout Drapery Liners We are very satisfied with this product. Did exactly what it is supposed to do! We purchased them for room where our grandson sleeps and naps! Works well!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I can sleep again! I had lined drapes but the light was still coming through enough to bother me. The blackout curtains have cut the light out and are almost as dark as my old external rolco shutters, which had to be removed when I had a new door installed on the bedroom. The blackout curtains were easy to install on the back of the existing drapes.

Attachment to Traverse Rod

Can the liners be used on a traverse rod?
Asked by: SassaE
Hello SassaE, The Whole Home®/MD 'Blackout 2' Drapery Liners attach to pinch pleat panels. A traverse rod will work with pinch pleat panels provided you are using drapery hooks. Thanks for shopping Sears and have a great day !

Width per panel

Hello, 2 different sears associates have answer this question in previous questions. ! associate says the size select is split between the panels while the other says the size selected is per panel. I am purchasing a 2 drape panel that are 48" wide by 63" tall each. Total wide together is 96". Could I then purchase the that is 48" as based on one asssociate each panel is 48" If it is two panels that are 24" each to make the 48" then it is quite expensive.
Asked by: Timmah
The first associate's answer is correct : The size selected is split between two panels. Although is seems expensive at first, you can always change your curtains at anytime without having to replace your blackout panels.

Width of each panel

I cannot see anywhere on the information how wide each panel is. Does each set contain 2 of the same width and length? If my curtain is 84 inches long... is the 77inch length the correct size to order for the black out panels?
Asked by: summit
Hello summit, We apologize for the misinformation provided in our previous answer. The width and length range for the Whole Home®/MD Pair of 'Blackout 2' Drapery Liners are provided at the top right corner for you to select your preference of width and length combination. These liners are sold as a pair. We would recommend that if your current drapery panels are 84" long that you would order the 84" length liner by whichever width you need. The liner would be approximately 80" long. Thank you for shopping at Sears and have a great day!

Is the width range per panel or total width needed

When asked to select width range is that per panel (they come in pairs) or total width to be covered? My window measures 90" wide, can I order the 72" (x2panels/per pack)?
Asked by:

Adjustments to the liner

Can the liner length or width be cut/trimmed or adjusted in some way to be suitably hidden behind the drapery we now have if the sizes don't correspond accurately? I remember being able to do this with some vinyl liners years ago in another home.
Asked by: Sprite1949
No they cannot be cut as they are already hemmed on sides and bottom.
