Rated 4 out of 5 by from not even close to the color . made a mistake by not reading comments before ordering. Oak (color) is a very bright yellow/tangerine. May be stuck with the blinds as they were a special order. Overall, the other blinds that were ordered came out fine and very easy to install.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Quick easy and inexpensive find ... Quick delviery, super easy to install, great price, perfect fit and easy to shorten; cut to my exact requirements. Mahogany is mahogany, as it appears in the swatch options. Being on primary windows with lake views I wish now I had gone with a thinner slat real wood - but I can not fault the blinds for that; just look at them as easier to clean.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Think Terracotta... Not Oak If you're looking for a nice oak coloured blind, keep looking. Although they appear sturdy, a great price, and delivery was super fast, the colour is a pinkish-brown and should be called something like terracotta

I love my blinds and am very happy with them.  My problem is this, I am new to this type and have just raised the blind completely for the first time and cannot get it closed.

Wondering on colouring of blinds.  I like a true brown so is the mahogany have a red colour to it. or should i go with the chocolate pudding for a more dark brown that I'm looking for?

Asked by: AshleyW83
Hello AshleyW83, Thank you for taking the time to contact Sears. The mahogany color is more on dark brown and the red color is not too dominant. While the chocolate pudding color is brown greyish brown in color. Thank you for choosing Sears. Have a great day!

Measuring width on blinds.....exact or minus

Your instructions say to give the exact measurements and that the factory or supplier will adjust by making them up to 1/4 inch smaller, and we are not to take this off BUT one of the reviews on the page says they got the exact measurements as ordered, so I do not understand. Do we take off a bit or we leave it up to the supplier. ordering alot of blinds and must have answer asap
Asked by: crystalmay
Hello crystalmay, Give the exact measurements, the cutting facility will deduct 1/8 to 1/4". Do not take any deductions. Thank you for choosing Sears.

Shortening

How do you remove the slats and what happens to the excess string?
Asked by:
Clip small loop string holding slats in place and remove excess slats. After removing slats cut off ladder rungs and left over loops only (do not cut the primary pull strings they are atatched to); Remove buttons from the bottom slat, pull excess string through the botton hole, tie off string, cut off excess, tuck tail ends of excess into the button hole and replace the button. All in the insutructions...
