Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very nice shades These shades are very nice...they fit perfectly. I was hoping they would darken the room a bit....but I did order a light color, which I'm sure is the reason why they don't.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from good quality blinds Blinds are nice quality for the price. They are double-celled so provide better insulation value. The installation instructions are poor - you better know what you are doing.

I have a window that is about 90 inches wide. Can you mount two shades to a longer top rail? I would like to order all my window coverings to be the same, but I cannot find an option I like using double cell.

Side Mount

Is it possible to mount them on the side - we have very tall windows and only want to mount them 3/4 of the way up - inside the casing.
Asked by: Pamyyq
No not possible with this shade. I was going to do that also but it was not possible. I did mount mine at the top and they look great! I lift mine during the day :)

single cell vs double cell

What is the difference between the single cell semi opaque and the double cell semi opaque? Is there a big difference in the appearance and how much light it let's through. Does the double cell keep alot more heat out in the summer?
Asked by: Bratts
You get 2 honeycomb layers, that should offer more insulation in the winter and cooling in the summer.

Comparability with vaughan semi-opaque cellular fabric shades

How does the cell size and fabric appearance compare to the 'Vaughan semi-opaque cellular fabric shades'? If I purchase one of each in grey, would they look the same or would one have a smaller cell size and different colour/texture of fabric? My kitchen has one deep set window that the sun hit directly, and 5 windows that are shallow set with less exposure to the sun, so I'd like to combine these 2 cellular products, but only if they have the same appearance.
Asked by:
I only the bought the one kind. the window I bought it for also gets a lot of sun. I measured to go on the casing so as to drill any holes on the window frame. remember if doing custom sizing it isn't returnable

Vaughan Blinds mounting them in plastic moulded windows

We have had new windows installed and the window casings are plastic. Can these blinds be mounted in this type of window frame? CC
Asked by: KCIntegrity
We just had new windows installed also with plastic frames. Yes they can be installed inside the frame but you have to drill into the plastic frame. So make sure it's a colour/style you really like/want because there will be holes in your frame if/when you take them out.
