Small drawers

I bought this bed from a catalogue, taking my chances, I thought it had more than two drawers. Last Nov there weren't many reviews so I didn't know. Unfortunately I wasn't too pleased with the bed after assembly. The drawers are too small and with only two drawers, there really isn't much storage space.

If you decide to put this bed against a wall and do not require much storage space, then this bed is sufficient. Otherwise if you decide to pull it away from the wall and would like more drawers on both sides of the bed, then maybe considering looking at different options. I'm thinking of selling this one and buying the Sonama platform bed with six drawers but I'm not too fond of the headboard thought...

F.Y.I it took me almost 4 hours to assemble this- my back hurted!

Disappointing

The mate's bed looks good. Assembly took the 2 of us about 2.5 hours. Instructions were fairly easy to follow only a couple of times we were wondering what was required. However, once the bed was assembled I was very disappointed. The drawer are MUCH smaller than I expected. I actually have a twin mate's bed which has alot more drawer room than this queen does. If I knew that before I assembled it I would have taken it back.

Looks Great!

Bought this bed for our son. Looks fabulous in his room especially with the headboard. Relatively easy to assemble, but took awhile. Called customer service which was extremely helpful in guiding through problem I encountered. Would definitely recommend this bed frame. The two drawers are also a bonus.

Agreeing with other reviews, the bed and headboard was put together by one person with ease. Very sturdy and well made. Great quality for the dollar spent. No missing parts, all pieces came in great shape.

Very nice and looks stylish

I did the assembly on my own. A bit time consuming but the instructions were very well illustrated. All necessary parts were there with all the screws and other stuff to put the bed together, very satisfied with the end product. I needed extra space for storage and the two drawers in that set did the job for me. I am even planning to get the headboard maybe next week. So if ever anyone is looking for a bed I would strongly recommend this one and also get the headboard altogether.

You don't necessarily need this headboard however the mates bed is not pre-drilled so you would have to be careful when attaching them together.
The bed is made so that the drawers can go on either side but only the 2 drawers will work. You would not be able to have 4 drawers on this bed.

I just got my order, the box is about 6 feet long by 2 feet wide and not that thick. It is also quite heavy. It might be hard to carry up narrow staircases. I haven't opened the box yet, so I don't know the what size the biggest part is, but that should give you an idea.

The dimensions are 62" x 82" x 14". Queen matress is 60" x 80". so what will be the bookshelf depth at back?? 82"-80" = 2" only??!! and also is the width of book shelf is same as the width of bed i.e 62" ? or bookshelf is sticking out in width of bed? if so how much??

The depth of the bookcase headboard alone is 9". The Mates bed sits up against the headboard..they are 2 separate items. You don't need a boxspring with this bed.. so if you place the mates bed with the mattress against the bookcase headboard you will see they sit together nicely.
