Rated 4 out of 5 by from Scalopped room darkening blinds Bought these for the bedrooms and they are beautiful. They hang well and darken the room perfectly. The only thing is I had to add a tassel for ease of pulling them down.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not too impressed. I needed to custom order these blinds so they cannot be returned. The problem with them is that they curl on the sides of the window so you can still see in. They seem to not be heavy enough to hang straight down, probably need some weight put in the sides to make them flush to the window.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Blind Weight The 4 gauge weight stays straight and does not curl up at the bottom. For the price the blind is definitely good quality not to mention it blocks the sunlight 100 per cent and darkens the room for shift workers.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice Blind but.... You are requested to provide the exact measurement of your window and they will cut it to fit. Of course, I did exactly that but it was too large. My husband had to retrofit it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Custom-cut roller window shade I bought a 97 in. roller shade from Sears 22 years ago. It finally had to be replaced so I checked the catalogue and sure enough they still had roll blinds available so I ordered a custom-cut width; arrived in 3 days. I like the shade because it has a durable feel to it, and no 'new plastic' smell. The mounting hardware has been 'beefed up' and was easy to install. I'm good for another 20 years!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Disappointed We ordered this roller blind, cut-to-fit, in colour #225(Honey Brown), only to discover that when the blind is up on the brackets(rolled down half-way) you are able to see the white backing rolled up at the top. Had we known this white would show, we would never had ordered from the catalogue because it does not offer you a reverse roll option. It looks awful with white showing at the top of a very nice honey brown colour. BUYER BEWARE!

how to measure roller blind

I have read your measuring instructions for roller blinds and am still confused. Am I measuring the inside of the window plus 3 inches. Am I measuring the outside of the window frame plus 3 inches. Do I ask for the final width including hardware and the actual blind will be narrower than that. The instructions are really not clear. Thanks Danita
Asked by: Danita
If you want inside mounted blinds, measure the distance inside the frame (in 3 spots, incase its not competly square)and order blinds that exact size. Order a tiny bit smaller if the exact size doesn't exist. (example: my window was 70 1/16, so I had to order 70). If you are mounting outside, I would assume you could order whatever length you would like them to be.

Cord or spring up

Does this shade go up and down using a cord to roll it up and down or is it supposed to spring up?
Asked by: RicoS
This shade does not have a cord to pull up and down. This is a spring roller shade. You may adjust this shade to the desired height by pulling and releasing slightly on the bottom of shade as per instrucitons. Thank you for choosing Sears.

Roller shade Suede Duplex II

Could you please confirm if these shades have a cord or do they have a pull down/up mechanism?
Asked by:
No, they don't have a chord...just the rigid band in the bottom hem. I believe you can purchase from a fabric store or drapery supplier a chord that you can attach to the bottom hem.
