The wood is so soft (pine) that it dents and scratches. Drawer keeps coming off its track.

I am generally pretty good at assembling furniture, but this crib has probably the worst assembly instructions I have ever seen! Several steps missing, and the instructions are inconveniently glued to the mattress support. Otherwise, nice looking crib.

Good value, extra storage

Bought the crib in July 2010 - really easy to put together, and so far has been very sturdy. The extra storage drawer was one of the reasons we picked this model - and we make good use of it.

Pros:Â Sturdy, Well-built, Easy setup

box spring required?

Hi, I wondered if a box spring was required when used as a crib. If so, does Sears sell them? (Can't find them online.) Thanks!

No, only a crib mattress is required. The mattress size should be at least 27 1/4âx 51 5/8â, and should not be more than 6 inches thick. The mattress should be of such length and width that the gap between the mattress and the sides of the crib is not more than 1-3/16 inches when the mattress is pushed into the corner of the crib.
