Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor Quality Bed I bought this bed and had it delivered to my house which took one week and it came in three boxes: headboard, rails, and footboard. I opened all three boxes and each item had defects such as a long curly hair under the finish on the front of the headboard, knots, a crack in the footboard, finish issues, etc. I phoned Sears and they said they would replace it all. A week later they came to pick up the defective items and replace them with new ones that went through an inspection line to make sure it didn't happen again. The 2nd headboard box had two pieces of paper attached to it saying that it had passed inspection. I opened the headboard to find two easily visible cracks on the front of the headboard. A week later the other two boxes were delivered: rails and footboard. The rails were fine but the footboard had a crack in it (image), being the second item to go through Sears inspection with a defect. The bottom long surface of the footboard is not finished or smooth (image), which wouldn't be visible unless looking from a low angle but to me is a sign of lack of care for quality. It has now been over three weeks and with two beds delivered (6 pieces total), 5 out of 6 pieces were defective. Poor quality and not worth the money it costs.

What is the maximum boxspring thickness so the boxspring will not show?
