Rated 3 out of 5 by from Serves Its Purpose I have been using this chair for several months now and the best I can say is that it's ok. Based on my research, it's probably about the best you are going to get in this price range. It looks nice and does it job. That being said, I would be surprised if it held up over years of use. You definitely would not want to turn the wrong way in it or have an older child use it roughly; I have no doubt that it would break it. The padding is not that great. The padding does not stay in the arms where it should. It pulls down and is near impossible to get it back to where it should be and have it stay there. The padding in the seat will surely wear down quickly too. If you had a cranky baby and had to spend hours in this chair rocking, I don't think it would be that comfortable. So for the amount I use it, it is satisfactory but once it wears out or breaks, I would not replace it. If you're looking for a really comfortable well-built chair, I recommend spending the extra dollars.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not Worth The Money or Headache! I bought this chair when my son was two months old. He's now 6 months old and the chair has literally fallen apart! It was great for about a week before it started squeaking. I hoped it was 'settling'.....it wasn't. It got worse and worse and despite tightening it, oiling it, & conditioning it, it not only worsened but began to pull apart. Both arm rests came apart at the wrist area (where the dowels are supposed to hold together), and a section of the back was wobbly enough to move several inches. It felt like every joint was worsening and I was scared to sit in it with my baby. I live an hour away from the nearest Sears and hoped spending a bit more money on a chair would buy quality. It didn't. It turns out i spent money on firewood, which is what it will become. I cannot tell you how disappointed I am. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Rather flimsy We bought this glider for our nursery and ended up returning it. Construction was rather flimsy, as were the cushions. Things did not quite line up when assembled, and as a result the glider squeaked incessantly even after an hour of tightening and loosening screws as well as taking it apart and reassembling. We were quite disappointed with this product.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Smooth glider I gave this rocking chair 3 stars because although it is a nice sturdy chair, the fabric flattens out in no time. After one week, the padding on the arms were flat. The back padding isn't as bad and the seating got a little flat( which is to be expected I guess)

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Slightly damaged... We picked up our new glider/ottoman on Christmas Eve. We ordered it on Black Friday - so it took a month to be delivered to a store where we then had to pick it up. Very slow. It was easy to assemble and took us less than an hour. There was a piece of wood broken off of the footrest that slides out of the ottoman. We repaired it with wood glue since we had the piece, but it was less than ideal. Also the plastic covering on the ottoman does not remove easily. It is stapled underneath the wood, so you have to rip it off as best you can and then trim with scissors. The chair seems comfortable and looks nice in our nursery. Baby doesn't arrive for a while yet, so I haven't had a chance to put it to too much use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent product Arrived undamaged and is wonderful. My wife loves it as it is so much more comfortable than all others that we had tried. The only poor point is the it was priced too high although we bought is anyway. Smooth operation, great colour, easy to assemble.

package size

Does this item require assembly? How many pieces does it arrive as, and what is the size of the largest? I want to make sure it will fit up my stairs.
Asked by: Sarah99
The box is quite large, but the pieces are relatively small. We got the box up the stairs in our home. Ottoman is already full assembled. Largest piece of the chair is the backrest. Not sure of dimensions, but it should fit up stairs if removed from the box.
