First snowfall today and I wore my Sorels. Comfortable and easy to walk in most of all kept my feet warm and dry.

Great for outdoor sports in winter.

These boots are fantastic for wear, light weight, waterproof, and beautifully keeps the toes and feet warm. Great for cross-country snow shoeing, sledding, or just taking the dog out for a walk on a cold winter day. Easy to slip on, top of boot can be pulled tight to keep snow from coming into boot. Sole provides good traction on different snow surfaces.
The boots really contribute to me having a enjoyable active winter life. Well constructed and worth the investment.

Took these to Alaska in January

Needed a boot that was temp rated at least -40...these were and the temp actually dropped to -40 while I was there. Wore these ice-fishing as well. Kept my feet warm and dry and was able to walk in 1 1/2 feet of snow without getting snow down inside. Great boot!!!
Only complaint: I wore these once and the right boot upper tie broke (at the "seam"). Had it fixed within an hour, but irritating to have to fix it in the first place. Otherwise I would've given a 5 star rating.

Hello,

The shaft height is the height at which the boot comes up the leg. It would be measured from the inside of the boot, footbed up to top of material on upper.

The Blizzard III and the Snowlions are very similar boots, however there are some slight differences with the appearance / design of the bottoms of them.
