Got this clockn and love it! I don't have to put on my glasses to see the time at night any more ... of course my kids make fun of me. I wish Sony would improve their sound system - I've come to rely on this item for the clock feature alone since poor sound really annoys me (it's really, really bad!) and that's sure no way to start the day, so I just let my husbands alarm wake me. But I sure do appreciate the large numbers so thanks for that!!

Overall a very good clock radio

I like this clock radio in every way other than one issue. For the second alarm you cannot set it for the radio to come on, just the alarm or melody. If it wasn't for that, I would have given it five stars.

Pros:Â Fast setup, Simple controls, Easy to use, Attractive design

Cons:Â 2nd alarm cannot set for radio

Sony radio alarm is the best

This radio alarm has all the features I need, plus good sound and reception on the radio. The large numbers, in a calming green color, are easy to see from across the room

Very good product for the $, especially considering it has a dual alarm function. Also very nice that the auto DST shift can be disabled as I live in an area that doesn't have DST. Brightness of the display is very adjustable and very large. Happy so far!

Yes is does. It comes with a CR2032 lithium battery installed. Instructions even say that if the battery is low it should be taken to a sony dealer because a replacement is covered under warranty.

Also - I noticed you're in Sask. - this alarm has a function that means you can shut off the automatic daylight savings time function and keep it from changing when the rest of Canada has their time change.
