Would you need a 3D TV in order for this system to be able to playback a 3D movie or would you just need the 3D glasses to go along with the 3D movie your viewing on a 42" Toshiba LCD Tv ?

Hello,
You require the 3D BluRay player to play the 3D BluRay AND a 3D TV to watch the movie. A normal bluray player cannot communicate the 3D portion to the television so you need a special player. As well, a normal TV does not have the correct panel to display 3D so you must have a 3D TV to view the movie.
