Q:Â
Do you have to attach the bookcase headboard to your bedframe, or does it just stand at the head of the bed on its own? If it has to be attached to the bedframe, does it adapt to most frames, and does it come with hardware to attach it?

Yes it is free standing and can simply be placed up against a wall with the bed pushed up against it. If you choose to attached it to a frame you can simply use wood screws to attach it. Given that there are hundreds of bed frames we do not pre-drill holes in the headboard.

Most people simply put bed up against the headboard. The headboard will adapt to most bed frames. You would need to mark the locations, drill and use wood screws if you wanted to attach it. It is not pre-drilled as there are so many versions of bedframes. There is no hardware included.
