Quality not good at allI had bought this for my two sons (ages 5 and 3) as they are really into planets and the solar system. We have a night light in their room so I thought the planetarium would be a good substitute for the night light, while they get to see/play with the images of the cosmos.
This product didn't live up to my expectations (as low as they might have been). The starfield feature is dim and unfocused (there is no focusing mechanism). You need a room that is absolutely pitch black to see anything, and even then the "stars" are unfocused blobs on the ceiling/walls.
The lack of AC adapter really hurts this product. 3 AA batteries are needed to power this thing. And they run out within a night's use.
And the images of the cosmos that you can project when you flip the planetarium around? That got old all of 5 minutes and there are only 3 image discs included.
And the last straw? the bulb died within a week of use. I promptly returned this to Sears as it just wasn't good at all.

Fine but boringI bought this as a gift for my 12 year old son (who is really into planets and space, etc) and he played with it for a total of 10 minutes. It was easy to use but kind of lackluster and boring. Maybe better for a younger ageÃ
