Mauvais achat.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Welcome mattress topper Bought this for my trailer. The standard "light" queen mattress that comes with trailers is spartan to say the least. Instead of counting sheep you can count the springs to go to sleep except that's what keeps you from sleeping in the first place! The puffball firebed topper was exactly as described. It did it's job and we just got back from 4 nights out with our trailer. Slept well - no more counting springs. Since this topper does not have the elastic skirt to tuck under the mattress (like the more expensive varieties), we bought 2 sets of snap on elastic bands from Walmart that we used to keep the mattress topper in place. One set was used as intended for the corners. The other set was used for the middle section. Since these bands are short pieces to make up for the width of the mattress we used some twine doubled up and cut as required (about 6 to 8 inches less than the width of the mattress) knotted at each end, run under the mattress with one elastic band at either end to hold down the topper to the mattress and together with the elastic bands on either end. The knotted ends were securely held with the jaws of the snap on clasps of the bands. Worked like a charm. For the price and used as we did, great value for money!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not quite what I was expecting..... I had originally chosen another topper for our bed but based on reviews decided on this one. I'm not sure I made the right decision. It's very comfortable but because there aren't any anchors or straps it does move around. I find myself having to totally remake the bed from stratch every other day in order to realign the topper. It also needs a good "fluffing" every couple of days. So, not bad but not as great as I had hoped.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from a winner there is a reason this topper is rated high. First of all, it makes an uncomfortable bed comfortable and second, it keeps its loft. Feather beds are nice, but like feather duvets, they need to be fluffed or they will compact. The Puffball fibrebed is a trouble free item. Others have complained about the size being considerably smaller than a queen bed and it is true. What I can say however is it does not seem to matter as one does not actually sleep on the edge of the bed. I would buy this item again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Puffball Fibre Bed is like sleeping on a cloud!!! I purchased this hoping I could get a better night sleep, as I have fibromylgia, it has made a huge difference. No more tossing and turning. Super soft and cozy. Love it

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good mattress topper We bought this Puffball Fibrebed to put on top of the existing mattress in our camper and it turned the mattress into a pillowtop mattress! We've only used it once, but it's very comfy and looks like it was a good investment.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Fluffy Almost to fluffy. This is not for everyone. I enjoy it. My son hated it. Bothered his back.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Comfy Topper This bed topper I purchased for my son's bed. At first it was nice, fluffy and comfortable. Now after a month it has flatten in some areas so the top is uneven. Every morning I have to straighten it since it shifts ( does not have a skirt or elastic bands to anchor to the mattress.)Overall it's an average topper for the price I paid for on sale. Next time I would pay more for quality(down/feather fill with a skirt.)

What is the weight of the polyester fill in the queen sized topper? The other toppers with polyester fill seem to have between 20 to 30 *ounces* of fill in them... yet this one has a description that says 10 *pounds*!! Can that be correct?

Asked by: bree22
Hello bree3, The description of 10 lbs is incorrect for this item. The weight of the fill for this fibrebed is actually 29 oz per sq yd or 107 oz in the queen size. Thank you for pointing out this error. Thank you for shopping at Sears. Have a great day!

topper size

does this topper reach to the edges of a queen mattress. why are the measurements 58x78 when standard queen is 60x80?
Asked by: caper2010
I really don't know why it is short of the standard but worked well for use with a trailer sized Queen mattress where the measurement is 60x75. Short on the sides, but a bit longer in the length. Used mine for only 4 nights so far and it still keeps its measurements. Perhaps with time the sides might just stretch to reach the edges. For now I hold the topper in place with elastic bands and snap-on clasps.

How's this attach?

How does this stay on the bed? Does is just sit on top of the mattress and you put the sheets over it?
Asked by:
It just sits on top of the bed with the sheet over it. I find it does move around a bit so I have to totally un-make, realign and re-make every couple of days.

anchor bands? thickness?

Does this mattress topper have anything to hold it in place such as anchor bands. Also how thick is the topper?
Asked by: caper2010
There are no anchor bands so it does move around a bit on our bed. It's about 2 inches (?) when fully fluffed.
