Remote Problems?

I have had my Craftsman door opener, the two sun-visor remote controls, the keychain remote control, and the number-panel remote control for nine years now. And the only problem has been the typical control weakening because the button-cell battery was losing life and requiring replacement. I replaced the battery(s), re-programmed the particular control by pressing the garage door opener's back red-button and following instructions as stated on the particular control's paper that came with it. All works fine. I like my Craftsman door opener system.

Design flaw?

Both remotes that came with my opener have failed after less than 2 years of occasional use clipped in the cars. New batteries don't solve the problem, only new remotes. (I had no problem programming the a new remote, but the originals are now useless).

The lack of any warranty information on the product page should serve as a warning.

Cons:Â limited life span, inadequate warranty

Craftsman 315 garage door opener remote

I have a Craftsman 315 garage door opener with x2 remotes & a keyless entry keypad. The keypad works but my remotes won't work. I changed the batteries & they still won't work. I'm not sure if the previous owners ever used them? Do they need to be reset somehow? HELP!!
