Rated 4 out of 5 by from LOVE IT! LOVE IT! Great exercise bike. Very comfortable and quiet. Has all the features I need. You have to order the AC adapter separately, but the D batteries work just fine. The only improvement would be to make a brighter display. This isn't an issue, though, if you exercise in the daytime. A little book light works well, attached to the reader stand for night time. This should not be a deterrent, however, for purchasing this bike. Happy riding!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Recumbent bike well worth the ride. This bike was recommended by a very good friend who just happens to be a Chiropractor in Vancouver, so I figured I would buy one and give it a try. Right on, just what I needed for my exercise routine, I suffer from COPD and can ride even with oxygen or without. I have spoken to other folks since who have been using one for years because of back injuries cutting their recovery time almost in half.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from schwinn recumbent bike easy to put together even for this single blonde woman lol who just puts together ikea items. instructions said 2 people to assemble but i managed on by own took about an hour. for those vertically challenged recumbent bikes may not be best choice im 5ft2 and will need to put pillow behind my back in order to sit forward enough to reach peddles. Nothing to do with this brand as 2 of my short friends have same problem with 2 other different brands.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great exercise bike!! I purchased this recumbent bike on sale. The bike is very solid in construction and well-balanced. The bike is very quiet running and has a comfortable seat/back. The monitor has enough programs along with other features including heart rate. The instructions for assembly are easy to follow and hardware parts are labeled. The shipping box is packed well and requires two people to carry it in. It took about an hour to assemble by myself. The bike will take up about 5 feet of length for space. I would highly recommend this model - especially purchased on sale.

battery operated only?

is this only battery operated or can an external cord be purchased to operate this? if so where can this be purchased or does it come with the equipment
Asked by: sherry100
Hello sherry100, According to the owner's manual, the console for this machine can operate on battery power or AC power. For AC power, it is necessary to order the optional Power Adapter. If batteries and the Power Adapter are installed, the console will use the Power Adapter to operate. Note: If you use rechargeable batteries, the optional Power Adapter will not recharge the batteries. After the machine is fully assembled, connect the Power Adaptor to the console and the wall outlet. To order the optional Power Adapter, go to the schwinnfitness.com website or call 1-800-605–3369. Thanks for shopping Sears and have a great day !

My husband just had double knee replacement surgery and we are looking to purchase a recumbent cycle. Our question is, he is 6' 3" tall and wondering how far the seat slides back?
