Plans need to be better thought out, can be confusing at times better labeling on drawer slides and some parts is needed. Most of it went together easy, but it is very time consuming, extra set of hands is needed at times.Better packing is needed on the inside to many dings in the finish, touch paint or stain would help.Back panel was folded and has a crease running through it looks cheap and this needs to be fixed.I paid alot less than what is advertised on this site so a good deal for what i paid for it. I would only buy this again if it was on sale.

Cons:Â plans and packing

Disappointing product.
The catalogue lists the bottom drawers as âLegalâ size; they are not, they are LETTER size.
Mine came with a chip in one of the draw fronts and minor scratches on desk top that show up because of the dark finish.
The edges are poorly finished and the desk looks cheap â made of chipboard. I would advise you see the product in the store before making a decision.

Pros:Â nice design, price

Cons:Â cheap-looking, labour intensive assembly, poor packaging, poor value for money

Sauder 'Shoal Creek' Executive Desk

Nice desk but very time and labour intensive to assemble. Took approx 7 hours to assemble desk and my husband has lots of experience putting together furniture. This desk requires full assembly, every screw, bolt and fixture needs to be installed. Very heavy and priced high for the quality, veneer looks cheap.

Are the drawers on the desk built like Sauder dresser drawers (the wooden drawer slides on the wooden dresser frame) or do they slide on metal runners?

All Sauder units, this desk included use metal rails on the drawers. Sauder does not use wooden rails.
