Rated 4 out of 5 by from Perfectly hides all our stuff & looks good too We purchased the wall unit (2 wall cabinets, 1 bookshelf, 1 large pantry) for our living room. The unit perfectly fits the one wall in our living room and perfectly hides DVDs, kids' toys & books, and electronics/laptops/charging cords. One negative - the bookshelf is not as deep as the wall cabinet & pantry, so to make all the pieces flush on the front we placed the bookshelf near the corner of two walls (see picture), there is a substantial gap behind the bookshelf which worked for us as we have all our sound system cords running behind the bookshelf. Despite following the measurements provided in the instruction manual on where to hang the mounting bracket for the wall cabinet, the top wall cabinet is not exactly level with the pantry and bookshelf, but we're still pleased with the results. When building the pantry you have the option of having the large door on the left or the right, but in order for the smaller door to open fully/properly as part of a wall unit combo, it needs to be on the outside of the unit. All Sauder products come flat-packed, and the large door on our pantry piece was cracked/crushed. I ordered a replacement door through their website around Dec 28th and it arrived by courier 5 d later. For the price, you can't beat this wall unit. Tonnes of storage and decent eye appeal.

Depth / Flush

If I buy the upper and lower units and two bookcases for each end, how do they lie flush when the depths are different?
Asked by: Lee122807
Hello Lee122807, Our supplier has indicated that this question is difficult to answer without knowing which model numbers you are inquiring about. The five shelf bookcase and the TV/Wall cabinet are the same depth - 17". The 2 shelf bookcase is significantly more shallow because it is used as either a stand alone unit or a hutch for the base cabinet. For further assistance, please contact the Sauder Customer Service Department at 1-800-523-3987. Thanks for shopping Sears and have a great day !

Can unit be used above TV

Does the picture show two units - one on top and one below the TV? I have a big screen floor model TV. I'm thinking the space below unit would accomodate this TV. If I ordered one unit to install above TV does the unit clip or fasten to side pieces (for example bookcase or closet that is show in picture)?
Asked by: MWilkins
The picture above shows two of the Home Plus Wall Cabinets. One is above the TV and one is below the TV. You have the option of attaching the cabinet to the wall or setting it on the floor. If hanging the cabinet on a wall it must attach to a minimum of two wall studs. The additional side pieces that are sold separately in the Home Plus Collection sit flush up against the cabinets there is no hardware to fasten the items together.
