Ratings & reviews

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good looking desk I bought this desk in black and it is stunning. There’s a slight wash in the black so it has a bit on an antique look but the desk goes very well with modern furniture. It took at least 3 hours to assemble and it is heavy so delivery is recommended unless you have a van or truck and big boys to carry it. All of the holes are predrilled except for the 4 where you connect the pieces at the back. Why they didn’t drill these is beyond me (the instructions say drill, so it wasn’t a mistake at the factory); anyway, this is where we had the greatest difficulty lining up the pieces of wood and one screw went through to the outside. That resulted in not lining up the two parts at the corner perfectly so I’ll have to buy some sort of hardware to fix that up. Thus the 4 rating. Other than, it’s a great desk with lots of working surface, but maybe a bit overpriced since it is after all, particleboard.
