Rated 5 out of 5 by from Vraiment génial Acheté hier en vue des canicules.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect light blocker If you like a dark room for sleeping, this is the product for you! It completely blocks the light. Although the instructions say to use on the same rod as your curtains, I have a double rod and hung the room darkening panel on the back rod and it still works perfectly!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It does exactly what it says on the box Needed to block the light coming into our bedroom at night. These drapes worked perfectly - fits various different 'rod' configurations so you can use them behind rod pocket, tab top, ring top - you name it. Might by another set for our front room as they also keep out heat/cold very well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bon rapport qualité/prix J'Aime que le tissus soit souple malgrés les fait qu'il soit occultant. Je préfère le tissus occultant aux doublure....souvent apparentes.

How would these work with pinch pleated curtains?

Asked by: tortieb
Hello tortieb, Thank you for taking the time to contact Sears. On the liner in question there is a loop fringe attached to the back of the liner. So installing a Pinch pleat to the liner is done by attaching the liner to the hooks being used to hang the Pinch Pleats and all being hung on the same rod. Thank you for shopping at Sears and have a great day.

is the hook and tab included in the length of the curtain

Asked by: robynp
Hello robynp, Thank you for taking the time to contact Sears. The length of the panel for a tab is measured from the top of the inside of the tab so if the curtain is 84”, It will be 84” from the top of the inside grommet. A hook is a little different on the Pinch pleat style panel as there is a 2” play from the bottom to the top of the Pleat where you can position the hook either the bottom of the pleat or the top of the pleat. Example on the Pinch pleat positioning the hook at the top a 84” will be 84”, Placing the hook at the bottom of the pleat the 84” panel will be 82” long but 2” above the rod. Thank you for shopping at Sears and have a great day.

Width?

Do I need to double the width of these similar to a curtain? My window is 50" wide, should I order 2 liners or will the single layer suffice?
Asked by: RedSoxHouse
For a 50" window, you would usually order 2 ordinary drapery panels so that they open from the center. So, if you plan to use these liners under the ordinary panels, you will need 2 for your window size. Of course, you can just hang one blackout liner without any drapery panel just to darken the room (but the look wouldn't be good). The rule of thumb is one liner per panel (assuming 54" long). You just need to put in some thoughts of how to hang them up since their widths are not exactly the same. Hope it helps.

Curtain rods/hardware

I am ordering My Stuff/MD Cotton Tab-top panels w/ tie backs (item #961 813 369 10) and the Ultimate Room-darkening Liner. What kind of curtain/rod hardware to I need, or can the liner be on the same rod as the panels?
Asked by: Anonymous
The liner can be on the same rod. Depending on how long your rod is, I would suggest a center support for the rod due to the combined weight of the liner and drapes

weight

Is the liner too heavy to be used with a magnetic rod I will be cutting it to fit a front door window?
Asked by: Anonymous
It is definitely heavier than standard draperies. Depending in the strength of the magnetic rod I would say it probably would be too heavy unless it is cut down to a smaller length.
