Protocol MD Long Sleeve Dress Shirt in Mauve

I was terribly shock to find that after washing this shirt MADE IN BANGLADESH, was ruined.

The interfacing in the collar, cuffs and all the way down the button holes seam was all bubbled.

Before washing the color was beautiful and the shirt nice but the quality was shown after washing.

I had to return it. This has never happened in all the years of buying a Sears shirt of any brand. The past "Protocol" shirts I have bought before are usually from China and have never had a problem with interfacing just that the shirts itself were very thin in fabric.

What has happened to quality shirts?

Pros:Â color

Cons:Â Poor quality, bad interfacing

White Dress Shirt

The shirt itself was very well made, looked crisp on my husband but he would never be able to take his suit jacket off because the material was fairly thin. You could see his skin color beneath it. For a man who wears an undershirt under a dress shirt, this shirt would be ideal.

Hi,
I do not really understand how to pick the corret size on-line. My boyfriend has a waist of about 36. I was trying to buy a dress shirt for him. However the only option the website was giving me in terms of sizes was 16 1/5. What does that mean?

Hello,

Waist size and shirt size have nothing to do with each other.

So what you need to do for a shirt size is to measure with a fabric measuring tape around the nape of his neck. You want to make sure that your forefingers first knuckle, can fit comfortably between the tape measure and the neck. This is so you are not buying a shirt too tight in the neck.

You will also see the sleeve lengths. Usually 35 is a regular size sleeve, then their are tall sleeve too. This is usually indicated. If it is not indicated than it is usually just a regular size shirt in the sleeve and fit so all you have to usually do is just get the collar size correct. My husband is a 34 but his neck is 16 1/2 regular size.

The 16.5 indicates neck size. My husband has to have a 36/37 sleeve length which means he takes a tall. He also has a 36" waist but that is in pants. He is average build but is 6'4". So, if your spouse's neck is fat he may need a 17 in. neck size. If skinny a 16 or 16.5. Both my adult sons are around 6' & have a 15.5 neck and a 32 in. waist for pants. Hope this helps:)
