Could Sears update their computer systems to allow stores to tell customers which location(s) have a display model? I get tired of driving to different stores looking for one that I can try and of sales people telling me that I can just return it if I don't like it. These things are large, heavy and take a long to to assemble, so I don't want to go through all of that just to return it. And getting someone on the telephone to tell me if they have it is pretty difficult.

If you could tell me which location(s) in the Richmond Hill, Markham, North Toronto area have one on display I would appreciate it and probably buy one this weekend. But first I want to compare the ProForm Cross Walk with the NordicTrack Audiostrider.

Height of footplate at lowest position?

What I want to find out for a couple of different elliptical models is the height from the floor to the bottom of the lowest extent of the foot pedals. Apparently some elliptical manufacturers call it "Height of footplate at lowest position (step up)". This is the height that you should add to your own height to determine that your head will not bump into the ceiling.

The reason I need the height of the footplate at the lowest position, is because I am a taller guy, 6'4", and I have a house with some unique ceiling heights.

The two ellipticals I am interested in are:
ProForm Cross WalkÂ® 8.0 Elliptical
NordicTrackÂ® AudioStrider 990 Pro Elliptical

Hello:

These two models have a similar pedal height. At the lowest possible level, one pedal would be approx. 12 inches off the floor (at the 6:00 position) and the second pedal would be approx. 20 inches off the floor (at the 12:00 position).

Hello:
This model has adjustable setting for the resistance level only. Since there is no incline ramp, there is no incline settings. If you are looking for inclinse settings, you need to look at NordicTrack models that have a ramp at the front of the product.

Hello:
No, the stride length cannot be adjusted automatically while working out. You must stop your workout to adjust the stride using the red knobs that you can see in the picture.
If you want to adjust the stride while working out, you need to consider NordicTrack product that has power incline as a feature.
