Powerlite Elliptical Exercise Trainer

I bought this knowing that it wasn't a top of the line elliptical trainer, so my expectations of it weren't super high. That being said, the machine is just what I expected in terms of performance and quality: average. The assembly took about an hour and a half, and was frustrating at times because the pieces sometimes didn't line up well with the drilled holes which means not a tight fit in some cases, and the end result of that causes some squeaking when I'm on the machine. (this can't be avoided even with oiling and I'm considering drilling a hole of my own and bolting the handle bar frame better in place so it doesn't wobble). Overall, I do get a good work-out from the machine and the little computer tracks my time, calories and distance. My only other complaints would be the distance from the handle-bar frame to the point of where my knee comes up when I pedal. Sometimes I bang my knee on it. I'm not very tall and nor do I have long legs, so I wonder if somebody tall would have a problem with this. It doesn't happen very often, just sometimes when I bend forward and my knees rotate slightly in. They should have made the frame further out from pedal system. I also think they should have made the plastic pieces where you put your feet on wider. It's very narrow.

I'd buy this machine, if you want a cheap solution to working out at home, and are okay with keeping an Allen Key close by and tightening up the bolts after each use (this is just for the handle-bar frame, which loosens after each use because of it not being manufactured properly. I'm assuming the holes for screwing the frame in place may not line up in all machines...). I think some design and manufacture improvements are needed on the machine, but again you're getting what you paid for.
