Hello,
Our supplier has provided the following information regarding your inquiry:
First, our headboard legs are grooved to better accommodate different metal bed frames, it seems there is no standard height and this allows for the different height of the fastening points between manufacturers.
When the headboard is fastened to the bed frame, first it should be resting on the floor, and second there should be at lease 2 bolts used per side (with washers both sides), and tightened securely. If only one bolt per side were used, this would create a natural pivot point and thus be more wobbly.
Yes, there is a little movement if you are moving the dresser, but again you must ensure that an adequate number of screws are used in attaching the mirror braces to the dresser, if required; remove one of the drawers to locate the cross rails and make sure that your screw is going into the cross rail and not just the case back.
Thanks for shopping Sears.
