The C900 features QuadFlex⢠Cushioning - This Reduces impact on your joints with this air-based, shock cushioning system on this extra-long treadbelt. With four points of cushioning, you get four times the protection and four times the comfort.
When you say "deck" - I assume you are asking about the walking surface itself, not the treadbelt. This treadmill has a deck constructed of 3/4" high strength MDF wood. MDF is used because of it's superior strength and durability. The deck is then covered on both sides with a special coating, called a "phenoic" resin coating. This coating is used because of it's unique performance advantages. It provides a extremely hard, durable and smooth surface for the treadbelt to run over. This is important because it helps to reduce noise created by the belt as it runs over the walking surface as well as premature wear on the motor and rollers.
The rollers are 2.5" Precision Machined Rollers. Along with motors and treadbelts, rollers are one of the "Big 3" of treadmill drive systems, and, at NordicTrack, are at the center of our quest for perfection. To create our rollers, we started with the highest-quality, aircraft-spec bearings, which are then sealed inside roller housings, crafted of high-tolerance, machined steel. Each roller is then dynamically balanced in two planes, giving it the smoothest, quietest and longest performance possible. Finally, each roller receives an application of E-coat, which effectively eliminates static buildup during operation and is RoHS compliant, making it safe for the environment.
The treadmill belt itself is a 20" x 60" Treadbelt. This heavy-duty treadmill belt is designed to operate quieter than a normal treadbeltâjust one more vital component of a balanced drive system.
