Great plush confort

Replaced a not-so-cheap not-so-old foam topper with that product, and what a difference of quality! I love it so far (2 weeks now). It adds plush to my too-firm mattress. I also got the Natura latex pillow which I love as well. So, I'm thinking of buying an all latex mattress next!

Just the right amount of cushioning

A couple of years back, I picked up a very nice mattress from Sears. Unfortunately, while it is just right for me, my fiance finds it too hard to sleep on and tosses and turns; many nights he would end up sleeping on the couch instead. I tried cheap foam toppers and mattresses, layering the bed with comforters, but, not surprisingly, none of that worked. So, in an effort to get him back in the bed to stay, I purchased this topper in hopes it would do the trick - and it has. It provides just the right amount of cushioning for him to be comfortable. I could sleep on it myself if necessary, as it's not too soft either - but I bought the twin size for our queen size bed, which works just fine.

The topper did feel a little moist and slightly smelly when it first came out of the package, but nowhere near as bad as a lot of the foam smells, and it all dissipated within a day. Nor does it heat up too much. I'd absolutely recommend this topper :-)

Great addition to tired mattress

We chose this latex mattress topper after having success with a pillow made of similar material. It added softness to the mattress, yet retained its shape after use. The mattress was much more comfortable, without the added heat often associated with memory foam.

My new topper smells a little like vanilla. Is this normal and how long does it last? I know that one guest will not be able to sleep on it as long as it "smells".

Personally, I found the smell dissipated within a day. I let it air out for a bit and it's been fine ever since - but maybe results vary :-)

Please be advised that most foam products have a 'new foam' smell for the first week after delivery. This is perfectly natural, and is not a hazard. Fabric deodorizers can be used to help.

Our supplier has indicated that the Talalay process uses 70% synthetic and 30% natural latex. The Natura Ventilated Latex-foam Topper is manufactured in Connecticut and there is no Chinese content.

I have no idea what you mean by "19-oz density" in your description of this product. I want to know how soft or firm it is, usually measured with an ILD#. I also want to be assured that the topper is all latex--your description refers to a Talalay core. What exactly does that mean? Is there some other type of foam used to make this product? The picture indicates latex construction.
I have ordered one in the store and expect to receive it in 2 weeks. I need to know what I am actually getting before then.

The Natura Ventilated Latex-foam Topper is made of an 'all latex' construction. It is 19 ILD. The Talalay process uses 70 % synthetic and 30% natural latex, no other foam is used.

Fire Retardants in latex topper

Hi there,

Before ordering this latex topper, I would like to know what kind of fire retardants (if any) were used, either in the manufacturing process, or sprayed on afterwards.

I know that the US has legislation for fire retardants and, because this topper is manufactured in the US, I am asking the question.

Hello Nlapl,

Talalay latex is not measured in density. Memory foam and polyurethane foams are measured in densities.

The premium Talalay latex we have is measured in ILD which is a measurement of firmness. Itâs all we can provide from the latex source. Talalay produced latex is expected to last 3 X longer than standard latex production (Dunlop) and far longer than any other foam available on the market.
