1. Can you apply this wallpaper to panelling? What kind of preparation should I do?
2. What do you mean by "subtract one double roll for every 4 regular size openings"?

I you are papering over panelling, make sure you fill in the groves that connect the panel this would give a smooth edged. Also make sure the panelling is cleaned.
Also used a strippable solution on it and let dry before applying the wallpaper, this saves alot of time when you want to remove it later. and if you don't have that they say fabric softener works just a well.
