I bought the round pedestal table and 4 chairs in May 2009. I thought it was beautiful, looks very nice in my dining room. Sadly, three of the four chairs got hairline cracks on the back around the cutout work. The pedestal of the table now also has a larger crack running down it.
I didn't realize until I took delivery of the item this product is made in China. Should also be noted that the set doesn't get much use, it still looks like brand new (except for the cracks of course). I'm the only adult in the house, and have three kids, so it's not like there's been lots of pressure on the set weightwise.
Save your money.

I purchased this table with the side board and 4 reg. chairs 2 captain chairs. I do like this look the chairs are really nice big and heavy . The table I felt is a little on the small scale to match the chairs. I felt they could have made the table more grand . It's a solid piece but the legs could have been thicker. I choose this table because you can easily seat 8, if I were to buy 2 more chairs. This set I gave a 4 because it's a bit pricey and not a a great mach in pa portion to the chairs. Maybe the round table might be a better match.
