draw

What is meant by left or right hand draw? I have 2 drapery panels, 72' each, which I want to open in the middle, with one panel going left and other right. Am I correct in assuming right or left hand draw only means the controls to open and close are on the right or left hand side?
Asked by: maris6
Hello maris6, This rod is a one-way draw. It is available in a left hand draw or a right hand draw. All curtains will draw to one side. If you wish to draw your curtains from the middle to each side, you would need a two-way draw rod. Thank you for choosing Sears.

curtain rod span

For the heavy duty steel traverse rod, what is the maximum distance between supports? We have 124" of sheers but need to span 56" between end and middle support.
Asked by:
Hello, As the center supports attach to the rod in a way that does not interfere with the glides, there should be no problem attaching additional supports if that would help this problem. If there is no way to attach more supports (the wall is too far, cannot ceiling mount, etc), I would be hesitant to suggest spanning 56" without any support - the rod can bend at this length, not likely but possible. Thank you for shopping Sears.
