Use of Kobo e-reader

Easy to use, hold lots of books, touch screen works well.
Great for airplane travel and use anywhere.
In future I would like to see a 'back light' to read in the dark.
Got on sale but price a bit high?

Lasts for hours

I adore my Kobo eReader. It last for weeks between charges. I love the soft feel of the back, and how lightweight it is. I found most tablets, too heavy to hold for long periods of time. It defeats the purpose of replacing a book, in my opinion. I highly recommend getting one, especially if you travel at all!

Dedicated eReader

I like this eReader. The PearlInk technology is great to read by. But, buy the black one - the brightness (or lack thereof) of the background is made to seem darker because the white frame is SO white. Page turning is easy and responsive; recall to beginning (or end) of chapters is easy, but navigating through pages looking for something can be tedious; Home button; sleep mode is super handy; automatic bookmarking and novel recall makes "picking your book up where you left off" pretty instantaneous. The "extras" are just that, just a bit extra. However, if your looking for a dedicated eReader - you want this. No texting, no color, no calculator, no iTunes, any of that stuff. If you're like me, and you read 2 or 3 fiction novels a week - at least - it's great. I don't do research, although I do have a Bible on it; I don't take notes, although you can highlight and save notations and bookmarks and use the dictionary. You can "go to the store" and download books on the go, borrow from the library and subscribe to your periodicals. There are many free, cheap ($.99 - $2.99) and inexpensive (2.99 - 9.99) books as well as bundle/anthology purchases. They load quickly on the Kobo and sync to your computer quickly - where you can also read them. This is the smallest eReader and can go inside the breast pocket of the suit or "toss" in your purse. I do wish the battery life was a little longer, but I do read voraciously and I recharge every couple days. You just wanna read? Buy it.
