10 Great for mixing batches of cakes, kneading bread dough, cookies, mashed potatoes, whip cream, and more, KitchenAid's Professional 6-quart, 525-watt professional grade bowl-lift design stand mixer with a tough all-metal construction. It has a polished stainless-steel bowl with an ergonomic handle and a two-piece pouring shield with a large chute for adding ingredients. On the front of the powerhead is a hinged cover for the hub for optional mixer accessories.brbrA clever electronic sensor ensures mixing action remains at the speed selected from among the 10 available. Mixing starts softly to prevent splatters and "flour puff." With the beater moving clockwise and the shaft moving counterclockwise there's no need to rotate the bowl for the beater to reach all ingredients. The bowl-lift lever functions easily. A ventilation system cools the entire mixer to prolong motor life, and a resettable overload-protection system prevents overheating. This is true flour power!

I have had better luck with my old Kitchenaid which was a 325 watt. For the price that you pay for this item it should a have a warranty longer than 1 year. The first thing that happened was the flip cover fell off for where you place your attachments. I was to drive 300km to a larger centre to have it fixed. I didn't bother because the attachments wouldn't work with this on. The meat grinder could not be tightened enough and therefore would spin in a circle. Next when I was making bread it quit altogether; of course after the warranty was done. I have all the attachments so it means I ahve to stick with Kitchenaid. I wish I had bought a Delonghi. It has a 1000watt motor and a 10 year warranty!!

Cons:Â Breaks easily

what a mixer

fabulous wish i could have opened it early to do the christmas baking but found it can easily handle the maximum flour load and bread making is so easy. large batches allow me to freeze extra so i have time to make more cookies waffles pancakes whipping cream make me the popular mom!

Pros:Â Easy to clean, High quality

Cons:Â not all attachments available in canada

Love love love this machine!

I spent the weekend doing all of my Christmas baking and this machine took a beating and delivered. I absolutely love it! I cant think of a single bad thing to say about it. Well worth the extra money for this model.

I only wish I would have had this mixer years ago, I just love it! I bake bread all the time and what a difference it makes, so much faster and easier, eliminates all that kneading by hand. Great for cookies, etc etc. I could go on and on, but I will just say that I definitely recommend this product to anyone!!

Kitchenaid is not what it used to be

I had one of the original machines - only 275 watts and just before it's 10th anniversary it died. It owed me nothing. It was amazing and worked at least 2x a week for the whole decade. Figured I would buy a bigger version so I could do multiple loaves of bread. I got the first mixer and although it was rated for either 14 cups white or 8 c. whole wheat, when I mixed 5 cups white with 3 cups wheat it overheated and shut down. I figued it was just the particular unit. Got another, same thing. It loses power mixing dough (slows with each revolution until overheats and shuts down) Switched models slightly and SAME thing. I gave up and bought the 1000w Cuisinart (seems to only be 800 watt version right now) and although I don't think it's quite as sexy it is about a million time better. Totally different design so works without skipping a beat - will write a complete review on it now as I've had it six months and love it.

Pros:Â nice to look at

Cons:Â does not work to 60% of suggested capac., overheats

I was wondering the same thing so I checked the US KitchenAid website and it looks like they do. For some reason the Canadian KitchenAid website isn't as forthcoming. I'm assuming the models are the same in US and Canada so hopefully the attachments will fit. I wish someone could confirm this though!!
