We like to cook with local organic flour and have been using the KitchenAid pasta rollers for years. We were reluctant to purchase the pasta press as we tried once before with another product with poor results. This set of tools is great as is the pasta. It was not at all fussy (used as specified) and we are now enjoying kamut and other old grains in new ways.

This works well if you break your pieces very small, size of a walnut inside the shell. If you don't then it will clog and need to be emptied. Not a fast process.

Making fresh pasta is so easy with these KitchainAid pasta machine. I love it and you can not beat fresh pasta - cooks in 2 minutes. Make your own macaroni. When cleaning the plates - I remove the plastic and stainless part and let the pasta dough dry over night as it makes for easier clean up - the dried dough easily fall off.

pasta excellence set

I received for christma the artisan mixer. I am looking at the attachments brochure that came with the mixer. In it, it says that I can purchase a pasta excellence set (model #KPEX) which included the pasta roller and cutter set (KPRA), the pasta cutter companion set (KPCA) and the ravioli maker (KRAV). I would like to order this but it does not show as a set like in the brochure. Could you please provide me with a price and how I could order this set.

FRESH PASTA KITCHENAID KPEXTA

I absolutely love this attachment. I made spinach noodles and rigittoni. I cooked some right away (just awesome and tastey) and left the rest to dry overnight. I was horrified to see the noodles had split in half. Very brittle. If you touched them to put them in containers, they just crumbled. What went wrong?? Are you always to cook it right away. Please help
