I have wanted a kitchenaide mixer for a long time and I am very happy with it and I am especially happy I could have a red one :o)

Mine came with the Dough Hook, Whipping Beater, and Paddle Beater. IT DID NOT COME WITH THE POURING SHIELD OR BOWL WITH HANDLE AS ADVERTIZED!!!!
No other attachments. i.e. pasta maker, meat grinder etc.

What are the differences between the Kitchenaid Classic Mixer and the Kitchenaid Ultra Power Plus?
The features seem to be the same, except the Ultra Power Plus has a higher wattage. But the price is the same. Just wondering if I missed something. thanks!

Hello CakePop,

Please be advised that the KitchenAidÂ® Classic Stand Mixer's regular price was 399.99 and had the 250 watt motor. Whereas the KitchenAidÂ® 'Ultra Power Plus' Stand Mixer is (at the time of answer) 499.99 and had the 300 watt motor.

Stiffer doughs like bread often use large amounts of flour and require more power to knead the dough. Some have found that the 300 watt motor makes a difference compared to the 200 watt for things such as kneading bread dough.
