I've been through so many coffee grinders. Most of them have "design features" that either don't work or break down. I don't want a stow away brush, cutesy see-through windows or a retractable cord - I just wanted something solid, simple to use and easy to clean. So far I am very pleased with this purchase but only the future will show if it lasts. My only criticism is a small one: The coffee tends to get compacted near the bottom of the steel bowl when grinding. This is simply due to the design and really is a minor issue.
