I drink between 4-6 cups of coffee a day and I find that the B40 consistently makes great hot coffee! I use to make coffee in a pot, but I found that I wasted more coffee than I was able to drink because the timer would shut down. The Keurig B40 will give you hot coffee only when you need it.

So great I just bought the B60!

I dont know anything about the issues eveyone else is talking about..I have used my Keurig daily for nearly a year and NO issues! Love it soooo much that today I stepped up and bought the Special Edition B60!!! this modle will go in my BF shop for customers and friends who stop by!If you want my opinion,go for the B60..its programable with temp control etc..while this is more basic. Either way you cant loose with the variety of coffees,teas etc...and a perfect cup everytime!!!

Don't purchase

When I did my research prior to buying this item Dec.2010 there was a warning about the pump & only giving 1/2 cups of coffee but I disregarded the warning as most reviews were positive. 8 months later my machine is doing the same thing and I see many more complaints about the same problem. Sears only gives you 30 days and the cost and trouble to deal with Keurig is not worth it. Don't make the same mistake I did by not listening to the warnings, purchase some other brand as I intend on doing as I love the single cup idea.

Pros:Â Easy to use

Cons:Â Poor quality, need to deal with manufacture on warrant

We had the commercial model of this coffee maker at work and I liked it very much so I bought the home version. My sister did as well. Both units didn't even last a year and they were not used heavily or abused. I did proper cleaning on the coffee maker in accordance to the companies suggestions. It wasn't a week later that the commercial unit at work quit and had to be replaced after only a few months of use.
Great idea... poor product

Pros:Â Easy to use

Cons:Â not reliable

My reason for purchasing the Keurig Elite is that the Tassimo we had was great for cappuccino, coffee, latte... But I wanted more choice in the beverages. The abundance of choice with this product is AWESOME! Not only is the coffee, tea etc...more abundant but with the "My K Cup" I can use my own bagged tea's or favorite coffee. I tried the Mini before this model but returned it as it didn't have a reservoir, this model does! So we get to have a few cups before having to fill it again! I just love it! One word of advice when popping out the regular insert to put in the "My K Cup" make sure to push from the bottom, do not put your fingers in the K-Cup holder as the sharp item that punctures the K Cups is there. A friend of mine when showing me hers poked her finger on it.

Yes you can use it for hot water only, just use it as you would for making coffee except you would not need to put in a Kcup, I use it just for hot water sometimes and it's great.

yes they make a reusable filter,sold where you purchace the keurig. Ie Canadain tire,london drugs,sears..but it will not taste as good as the special k- cups...also ebay sells some different designs..as well

The Keurig B60 is a special edition model with additional features, the Keurig B40 is their basic model.

The Keurig B40 is not programable, does not have adjustable temperature and has 2 brew size options.

The B60 Special Edition Brewing System is their mid-luxury home brewing system that offers a blend of styling and convenient features. The Special Edition features chrome accents, a blue, back lit LCD display and three brew size options. Programmable features include a Digital Clock, Adjustable Temperature and Auto On/Off. The 48-ounce removable water reservoir holds up to eight cups before refilling and for the removable drip tray allows for easy cleaning and the use of travel mugs.
