Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Oven Only had the oven for 4 months now but I've had no problems and I was frustrated that no one else had written reviews on the Kenmore appliances. We personally haven't used the warming element, but it wasn't much of a factor in our decision. I am glad I bought the convection oven as it heats up quickly and provides even heating. We find we are cooking 10-15 degrees cooler then the suggested temperature in most dishes. Overall we haven't had any issues and that should make most customers happy

What is the difference between a true convection oven and a fan convection oven, and does this stainless steel oven have plastic where the handle joins the door?

Asked by: Georgep
Hi Georgep, Thank you for taking the time to contact Sears. The difference between the two is stated below for your convenience: Fan Convection: Features a fan to circulate heated air. By moving hot air past the food, convection ovens can cook food faster than a convectional oven. Plus, the air circulation helps eliminate "hot spots" so food cooks evenly. True Convection: With one fan and the addition of a hidden third heating element, true convection delivers better browning throughout the oven - even when filled to capacity - foods roast faster and bake evenly. Have a great day!
