Rated 2 out of 5 by from This one is not for me I wanted to change to an induction cooktop and chose this one but...the controls are in the wrong place. When you wipe down the stove they shut off. They are in the wrong place and take up too much room. I like the way it works and some of the features but I do not like the design. Am exchanging it for something else that has a better use of the surface.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from reason for choosing After doing a lot of research on appliances for my kitchen renovation, I chose the Kenmore Elite Induction cooktop because of the high ratings received from Consumer's Digest.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love Induction Cooking! We bought the earlier incarnation of this cooktop from Sears almost 4 years ago and I absolutely love cooking with it! We are moving and will be putting the newer model in our new home. I prefer it to gas (easier to clean!) because I can control the heat with the touch of a finger.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from superior alternative to smooth top electric range I bought my induction cooktop 5 years ago and do not regret my choice. It is a far better alternative to smooth electric cooktops for messy cooks because it is easy to clean and does not form burnt crusts if food comes into contact with the "burner". It is just as accurate and quick as a gas range, as long as you have quality pots and pans (the more magnetic the bottom, the more responsive/better.) Would definitely buy again. And no need for a gas line!

Induction Stovetop

Hello - I bought a Kenmore Elite induction stove top with electric oven several months ago. I notice that the elements get very hot to the touch. I was under the impression that the stove top for induction stays cool to the touch. Can you please explain. Thank you.

Power Requirements - Cooktop + Wall Oven

I am replacing a regular stove (40 amp) with a Kenmore Elite MD 30 Induction Cooktop and a LG4.7 cu ft single wall oven. Each requires a 40 amp circuit according to your responses to other questions. http://answers.sears.ca/answers/1367-en_ca/product/622-000774257-C970-41523/kenmore-md-kenmore-md-30-self-cleaning-wall-oven-stainless-steel-questions-answers/questions.htm Can these both run off of the same 40 amp breaker or does that breaker and wiring need to be upgraded to 50 amp to handle the load. Or do we have to install two 40 amp breakers, one for each appliance.
Asked by:
Hello, It should be 40 amps and a dedicated breaker for each appliance. Thank you for shopping Sears.
