Rated 1 out of 5 by from Unsatisfactory Performance This range has been a source of frustration ever since I have had it . The both ovens are slow to heat up and never do reach the temperatures on the display. I have had the repairman here twice. He replaced the temperature sensors but there was no improvement . He then told me I would just have to adjust my recipes and cooking times to conform to the stove. This involves a lot of guesswork and wasted electricity usage. I expect more from an expensive appliance and especially Kenmore Elite

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Disappointing Aesthetically pleasing. Glass areas easy to clean. Top oven cooks more on one side (left) than the other.Bad venting design. Heat pulled to left. Also loses as much as 30 degrees in cooking. Had new 'probe' installed. Had techs around 3 times. I am sorry I bought this - but it still looks beautiful!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So far great and many great features My wife and I like to not only save money but save energy use, be green so to speak. We bought this model because it has the smaller oven on top, great for pizza, baking etc. and the larger bottom for when we want to do a turkey. We love the stove, both overns heat up fast, the top one you can watch the temp. raise. I have a slide in Kenmore elite a few years ago and this model heats much faster not on ly on the ovens but also on the stove top. The selection of 3 elements on the one burner for diff. size pots is great .. we had that before but it never heated as fast or get as hot. The vent out the front is differnt but it does not seem to cause any problems. In a way we like it cause then any moisture goes straight up the vent. We are very pleased with this unit in every way and would recomment it even just for the fast warm up, the smaller oven on top and the energy and money savings !

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid Stove awesomely convienent The dual stove feature is excellent - why heat a whole stove when your just cooking a pizza. Easy to clean and I have not had any noise issues. Great stove!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from So far, so good Granted, I've only owned/used this range for a month. But I owned the similar dual oven from Frigidaire and this unit is much more solid feeling and has a few pros over it I really will appreciate. The Frigidaire required removing the racks for the self-cleaning cycle, which is a big pain in the ... As for the other posters comments about the lack of usability during the self clean cycle, this is NOT a unique feature of the Kenmore Elite, as the Frigidaire worked in the same manner.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Many Flaws This KENMORE range is certainly not worth what I paid for it. 1. The self cleaning features do not clean the ovens very well. 2. The vent at the back causes the stainless steel strip to lose it's finish. 3. You can't use the stove top when cleaning either of the ovens which can only be done one at a time. 4. The lower oven is very noisy, whether using the convection or just regular bake. 5. The vents in front of the oven doors allow for spills to get in between the glass. 6. Be sure to buy the service contract, I can see I will be needing it. Only had it 10 months and already I have problems. I so wish I could just return it.

Cleaning

I cleaned my lightly soiled oven for 3 hrs and it wasn't cleaned. The glass wasn't even slightly cleaned. How can I clean the glass on the door.
Asked by: Deansy
Hello Deansy, According to the owner's manual: To clean oven door - Use soap & water to thoroughly clean the top, sides and front of the oven door. Rinse well. You may use a glass cleaner on the outside glass of the oven door. DO NOT immerse the door in water. DO NOT spray or allow water or the glass cleaner to enter the door vents. DO NOT clean the oven door gasket. The oven door gasket is made of a woven material, on Self-Cleaning models, which is essential for a good seal. Care should be taken not to rub, damage or remove this gasket. Thanks for shopping Sears and have a great day !

Kenmore Elite 60043 Range

I took delivery of a NEW Kenmore Elite 60043 Range. The range itself has a small oven and a large convection oven on the bottom. My question, The FAN RUNS FOR ABOUT ONE HOUR AFTER YOU TURN OFF THE CONVECTION OVEN, (creating ambient noise / I'm guessing to help cool), is this normal? My last range, a Maytag, had a convection oven, but when you turned it off, it turned off and went silent
