Are there any weight restrictions for pots?

I am a home canner and would like to use this when I can, any warranty concerns ?
Asked by: Scrow
Hello Scrow, There are guidelines regarding how to use pots/cooking vessels and what types of pots/cooking vessels to use on the Kenmore Elite®/MD 36'' Induction Cooktop: - The pots/cooking vessels need to have a completely flat bottom (no indents). - The pots/cooking vessels cannot go over the maximum element outline on the cooktop. For example, on a 12" element, you cannot use a 14" wide cooking vessel. If the above 2 guidelines are followed, then weight is not an issue. Thanks for shopping Sears and have a great day !
