Ugly shade of yellow

I was in a wedding, and the bride asked us bridesmaids to choose any one of the yellow dresses from this collection. I ordered three different dresses in the same size (6P), and chose to keep this one, because I found it to be the most flattering on me. (My body type is as follows: I measure 5 feet, two inches, wear a D-cup bra, and have a bit of a belly, which was nicely hidden in this dress.) However, I would not recommend it, for two reasons: First, the fabric of the shoulder straps, which are thinner in real life than what is shown in the picture, is translucent and very delicate, and I was always afraid of snagging it. (It has a texture like silk pantyhose.) Second, and most of all, the yellow colour is ugly. This is true for all yellow dresses in this collection. I expected a light, warm butter yellow, as it appears in the picture, but it is a strange, almost fluorescent, greenish shade, especially in natural light. (In artificial light, it does look better.) It is not a warm yellow at allâ¦ Also, despite the fact that the size I ordered was a petite size, the back of the dress was very long, falling almost at my ankles, while the front of the dress fell at the knees. It is, however, a high-quality dress â very well-made.

Pros:Â Comfortable, High quality, flattering shape

Cons:Â unflattering colour

No, but the bust area is still quite thick (it has several layers of fabric), so you do not necessarily need to wear a bra with this dress. If you do choose to wear a bra, keep in mind that the shoulder straps are thin (thinner than in the picture) and transparent, like pantyhose, so they would not hide bra straps very well - you would have to wear a strapless bra if you needed it.
