Since these panties are cotton, I'm wondering if I have to order 1 size larger to allow for shrinkage in clothes dryer. My waist is 31" and hips are 38".

You'll have no problems with Jockey underwear shrinking. I used the size chart on the back of a package to ascertain my correct size and I have been wearing the french cuts forever. This information also applies to all styles of jockey (Classic, Elance and Ccool Max) They last forever and I love them!!!

No worries with shrinking from any Jockey product. I have been wearing Jockey French Cuts for more years than I can remember and have NEVER had a problem - ever! I buy in bulk and they last forever. They are worth every cent you pay for them.
