I really like Sears and enjoy most all of thier product and the way they support that product; but I have to say that this design of glides is absolute JUNK. I thought it was only a situation with me but now I see someone else is experiencing the same issues. I am unable to order casters with this bed so I have no choice but to pay the handling fee and reorder these for the bed.

This bed(double) was bought for my 1 1/2 year old and the bed frame was a "bonus" for purchasing the mattress set. My daughter will be 3 at the end of February and 35 lbs-so her weight or anything else has nothing to do with this issue.

DO NOT PURCHASE A BED FRAME THAT HAS GLIDES LIKE THIS, YOU WILL BE SORRY JUST LIKE ME!!!

Broken Glides

I just had this frame delivered and as soon as I sat on the bed three of the glides broke. The delivery service set up the frame, so not sure if there are instructions or cautions about the way the glide sits in the metal frame post. It would appear that the frame glide posts taper out and become wider than the glides opening.

Cons:Â Not well constructed

Hi I have a double bed that is 53 inches wide. The double/queen says that its adjusts 54-60. Will this frame work or does the twin adjust at all?

the model 82054 is an interlock frame so for double size it will be adjustable from 52 3/8" to 52 7/8"

This should work just fine, and should you decide to upgrade to a queen in the future it will also serve your purposes. 54 inches is a standard industry size, and all sleepsets are not exact.

#82054 = 1 center support with 1 leg (54" - 60"), can support about 600 pounds

#82049 is a bedframe with a flange at headboard only with 4 plastic glides, you can do only 39".
#82054 is a bedframe with a flange at headboard only with 5 plastic glides and you can do 54" and 60".
#82058 is a bedframe with a flange at headboard only with 6 plastic glides.
The flange of these three frames ia at 5 1/4" from the floor-2 1/2 c.c.

Which choice for the frame legs will be more stable and solid -- with less rocking or moving around while two people are on the bed? WHAT CHOICE GIVES HIGHEST STABILITY?

Also, will all choices (plastic guides, casters, steel guides) be OK on a high-gloss treated concrete floor (same idea as hardwood floor -- you don't want big scratches or dents on it).

Bed Frame

I believe we have the interlock bedframe with plastic glides, but we are having problems with it. First I believe we only have 6 legs, secondly it feels like the bed is not supported properly as my back is starting to hurt again. I am wondering first if we set it up wrong and seond if we are missing parts. When you have the mattresses on the bed does the centre support run in the same direction of the beds (vertical) or horizontal to the matteresses. Next the outside legs are currently set up right on the outside of the mattress, but I am beginning to think they need to come in a bit. Do you have a picture of this set up properly with mattresses on it. I know this sounds ridiculous but my back doesn't lie.
