Rated 4 out of 5 by from I love this vacuum! I love this vacuum. The suction on this vacuum is great. I can't believe how much dirt and pet hair is coming out of my carpets. The stair hose could be longer, but with the extension wand it reaches up to ceilings nicely. I would recommend this vacuum to others.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disapointed This vacuum is my first and last Hoover product I will ever buy. I purchased the vacuum June 25. When I first used the vacuum, I found the roller brush wasn't working. The handheld attachments were fine and the suction was good. Since the User Manual and a label on the vacuum says not to return it to the store, I had to find a Servicing Centre and take it in. It turns out the motor was burned out. How can a brand new vacuum have a burned out motor!!! When I got to the Service Centre, the technician called Hoover and rather than replace the vacuum (which was less than a month old) they decided to replace the part. This will take 3 to 4 weeks. Anyone considering this product, be warned that you may be purchasing a problem.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from pleasantly surprising in many ways It is surprisingly light: 14 pounds on a scale. The handle on top also makes it easier to move around, especially up and down stairs. Powerful! I realized that my old vacuum was doing little. Very easy to clean. Push button. Lift bagless dirt holder. Push button over garbage. Close. Slide back in to place. Ingenious: Handle extends for different heights, but wait, it also comes out and is a wand that connects to the flexible tubs and tools. Turns off rug beater when upright, but also has on/off button for rug beater. It's an upright, but it's close to a cannister for an upright. Quiet for a vacuum. It's not silent by any means, but I've not heard one that is quieter.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I am impressed! My husband just bought this Hoover for me a few days ago and I am really impressed with it. It is very powerful. We have a big dog who sheds A LOT and this machine does a great job picking up the dog hair. I didn't realize how wimpy my old vacuum was until we got this one. Good vacuum!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not good for hardwood After reading the reviews on this vacuum, I thought it would work well for my floors. It does not have enough suction. If you remove the "suction tube" there seems to be a lot of suction but because of its placement (on one end of the floor cleaner), there is only suction on on end and it's not strong even on the end where the tube is located. Not a good vacuum at all. I gave it two starts because it does have a lot of suction from the tube so it's great for upholstery.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from This vacuum cleaner is light, has a lot of sucking power and is easy to handle. I like the power bar feature at your fingertip. Also, there is no bag you just press a button to empty it. I tried a Dyson and returned it the same day: way overpriced and overrated. The only adjustements to this vacuum cleaner would be a retractable cord and better accessories. All in all, it's a great product!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Good Hoover Upright Vacuum. Well I went out and purchased the Hoover Wind tunnel AIR Upright Vacuum Cleaner. I did a lot of research on that vacuum and I thought it would be the vacuum for me. So when it went on sale at Sears I decided to order it. When it came in and I unpacked it I was quite suppressed at how it looked and how small it is. At first I was not impressed and was going to return it for something more traditional looking, but the more I looked at it and all the features it has I decided to give it a try and boy am I glad I did. I hooked everything up as it said in the manual and plugged it in and turned it on and I just could not believe the suction power it has, so I vacuumed the carpet and I also could not believe how much dirt it was picking up and how fast the dirt cup was getting full of dirt. I was quite happy at that point. For such a small and compact vacuum it sure is powerful. Then I decided to vacuum the hard wood floors. The one thing I like very much about this vacuum is that is has a on and off switch for the brush roll. That was very important for me because I have mixed flooring, carpet and hardwood and another thing I also like about this vacuum is the power and on-off floor switch is located near the handle so no need to bend down to turn on and off the vacuum or the vacuum brush roll, anyways I started to vacuum the floors and it picked up all the dust and sand and dirt I vacuumed over and no splatter. That was also a big plus for me. So I am going to keep it. This is my first bagels vacuum and it sure has a lot of suction and power to pick up everything on the carpet and floors. I also like the low profile of the power head part of the upright; I can go under furniture and beds quite well. This Hoover Wind Tunnel Air Upright Vacuum Cleaner has lots of features. It has a light that is green to let you know everything is running normally and if it turns red that means something is blocking the air flow or something got caught up in the brush roll. Like I mentioned before it has a on and off switch for the carpet and bare floors and it is located near the handle so it is easy to get at. It comes with an extra hose to vacuum the stairs. It also has two filters to help clean the air while vacuuming a HEPA filter and a washable filter and that is a good feature to have in a vacuum. This vacuum is also not too noisy and that was also a big plus for me. There are two things I wish it had though. 1. A head light and 2. Better furniture tools, the tools it comes with are quite cheep looking. Hoover could improve on that area of their vacuums they could make better furniture tools. But all in all I am quite impressed with the vacuum.
