Caution re: 1st review

I was looking to a taller boot, both the heel and the boot itself. I was pleased to find this boot as it appeared to fit the bill. I read the St John review and so I thought I am set to buy a new riding boot. However the boot is not classified as a "riding" boot it is really an "after" riding boot. You may think this is splitting hairs but it isn't. If it were a true riding boot I would wear a size 5. I typically wear a 6 shoe, but riding boots are, I have found, made bigger. An 'after' riding boot is more likely to be the actual size you typically wear in a street shoe. So I ordered these boots, thinking they were a 'riding boot' (from what the review said about how great they were for riding). Only too find they were awfully tight as an "after" riding boot. Long story short, order based on what you are using them for. And I will be watching for them to go on sale again.

Usual great HD boot quality

This is my 4th pair of HD boots and they are exactly what Iwas looking for. I needed a sturdy knee-high boot for motorcycling and this is it. Big lug sole that hooks easily over the footpegs, roomy toe box should extra socks be needed, and super thick leather that will stand up to years of wear - And they were a great price! Very pleased.
