I brought this home and when I plugged it in the clock kept going through the numbers and the power button wouldn't work so I exchanged it for another one thinking I got a lemon.
Within a few months it started doing the same thing, when you poured too close to the machine and steam went near the clock it would not work for a while, eventually it stopped working altogether and I gave up fighting with it. Major electronic problems! Don't buy!!! Also, the travel mugs - the bottoms fall off!

Leaks

Carafe worked well for a week and then started to leak. Told the company and they sent a new one. Same issue. We pour over a sink. It is now less than a year old and so much steam comes from this that it shorts the electrical system.

This is the worst coffee maker ever made. Pay attention to the reviews. The carafe drips profusely. You CANNOT pour a cup of coffee from the carafe without it leaking all over your counter.

We have gotten into the habit of pouring coffee over the sink. It is not a seal problem or something you can fix by getting a new carafe. The design itself is flawed.

I STRONGLY recommend Sears discontinues carrying this product.

Note that Hamilton Beach is not replacing it either.

Poor quality Coffee Maker

My wife and I bought this because it had the travel mugs and an insulated caraffe. The coffee maker only produced warm coffe, not hot coffee. The reusable filter was only good if you were making 2 different types of coffee into the two mugs. The Caraffe leaked when poured when it was a full pot.
I do not recomment this ti anyone

Cons:Â Not well constructed, does not make hot coffee

I have had my coffee maker for over a year and a half and I love it.

Yes as previous comments have said, the caraffe can leak, however I only find it leaks when I brew 8 or more cups at a time, and I try and pour it too fast.

Coffee stays hot for hours, and programmable functions work very well.

Pros:Â Easy to clean, Easy to use
