Very good but I think basic is better

I have owned this cooker for about two months now. I performs all functions as advertised. After trying all of the cooking modes (temp probe, program, and manual) I have to say that cooking on low for 8 to 10 hours always produces the best result (which is excellent). If I was to purchase another slow cooker it would be a Hamilton Beach but I would go with a more basic model with just a dial (low, high, off).

I deducted a star because although the results with this cooker are excellent (on low), it does not have a short term battery backup for the electronic controller. This means that if there is a lightning strike and power goes out for just a couple of seconds then the unit does not come back on - ruining dinner.

Pros:Â Durable, Simple setting, Easy to use, High quality

Cons:Â no power backup
